Minister Scottie Law serves as the Outreach Ministry Coordinator. He is a native of Dixon Mills, Alabama. He surrendered his life to Christ in August 2003. Minister Law was licensed to the gospel ministry at Christian Community Disciple Church (CCDC) under the leadership of Dr. Paul Chapman.
Minister Law is currently enrolled in Lancaster Bible College, where he is pursuing his Bachelor's of Science Degree in Biblical Studies and Business. He graduated from “The Institutes” at First Baptist Church of Glenarden Landover, Maryland.
Minister Law has a passion for evangelism and ministering the Word of God, to hurting people. He has taught God’s Word in the prisons, halfway houses, nursing homes, and correctional centers. Minister Law has preached in the Washington Metropolitan area, Alabama, and St. Louis, Missouri.
One of Minister Law's favorite Scripture is Romans 8:28 “And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose.”
He is married to Sister Rella Law and is a father and grandfather.
Sister Arlene E. Whittington serves as the Coordinator for the Braveheart Prayer Warriors. With over twenty years of intercessory prayer experience, Sister Whittington is praying and interceding on behalf of Christian Community Discipleship Church. Her passion for praying for others has expanded into various forms of ministry to include not only interceding but teaching and ministering on the topic of intercessory prayer. She is also a team member of an intercessory prayer group called Sisters on Assignment. In 2007, she was presented a Certificate of Recognition on behalf of Living Faith Prophetic Ministries for the Ministry of Intercession.
Sister Whittington's favorite Scripture is Philippians 4:6-8 “Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy --- meditate on these things.”
Arlene has been happily married to Michael Whittington for 31 years and they are the proud parents of four children.
Brother Timothy Young Sr. serves as the Men's Ministry Coordinator, supporting the Christian walk of the men of God and the building of His kingdom through fellowship and an earnest love for Christ. Brother Young also serves as our website designer and assistant A/V coordinator.
He has a professional background in Business, Hospitality, and Real Estate, and enjoys music, technology, and quality time with his family.
His favorite scripture is Proverbs 3:5-6 “Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths.”
He currently resides in the Washington DC area with his wife, Yvette, and is the proud father of five beautiful children.
Dr. Yvette Young serves as the Coordinator for the Women's ministry. Dr. Young is a Vice President of Clinical Operations for PM Pediatrics in the North-Atlantic, where she is responsible for leading the development of PM Pediatrics locations in New Jersey and Pennsylvania.
Dr. Young's love for women allows her creativity and gifting to be manifested, equipping women for their faith journey; through Women's Ministry Gatherings, Retreats, and Conferences.
Her favorite scripture is Lamentations 3:22-23 “Through the Lord’s mercies we are not consumed, because His compassions fail not. They are new every morning; Great is Your faithfulness.”
She currently resides in New Jersey with her husband, Tim Young Sr., and their children.
Sister Lisa Anderson serves as the Coordinator for Children's Sunday School. Sister Anderson combines her skills for teaching and love for children, allowing them to be active participants in Sunday Morning Breakout Sessions and Children's Boot Camp. She believes that learning is an ongoing, never-ending process in which everyone can contribute.
Sister Anderson's favorite Scripture is Matthew 19:14. Jesus said, "Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these."
She is a mother and a retired educator in Prince George's County.
Sister Rella Law serves as the Assistant Coordinator for Children's Sunday School alongside Sister Lisa Anderson. She is a native of Waldorf, Maryland. She surrendered her life to Christ in October 2003. She has a compassionate spirit for children. Sister Law also serves as CCDC's church clerk .

Sister Angela Strand serves as the Assistant for Children Sunday School alongside Sister Lisa Anderson and Sister Rella Law. She surrendered her life to Christ 2006. Sister Angela Strand aka (Angie) is deeply committed to the work of the Lord, and she has a servant’s heart. She is a humble woman of God and will assure you that if you only believe, all things are possible through Christ.
She exemplifies the great commission of Jesus the Christ, Matthew 28:18-20: And Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, “All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. 19 Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” Amen.
Angela studied Business at Morgan State University 1987 and studied Human Resources Management at UMGC 2012. Currently in management for 34 years at UPS.
Angie is a native of Maryland, and she cherishes her role as mother of D’Angelo and Mya Strand. She enjoys making people smile and living what God has in store for her.
Sister Melissa Etheridge serves as the Dance Ministry Coordinator and Assistant Coordinator of the Youth Ministry. She surrendered her life to Christ in 2009.
Sister Etheridge's passion for praise dance has allowed her to show forth her love for worship in a unique way. She believes that praise worship ministers to the hearts and souls to bring liberty through the spirit of God. Sister Etheridge's favorite scripture is Romans 12: 1-3 “I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service. And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.”
She currently resides in Crofton, MD with her husband, Ronald A. Etheridge, Jr, and is an active mother of four children.
Brother Ron Etheridge serves as the A/V Coordinator, arranging music selections for church services and activities. Brother Ron has a professional background in Project Management, Budget Management and SharePoint Development. Brother Ron enjoys traveling, technology, and quality time with his family.
His favorite scripture is 1 Corinthians 16:13-14 “Be watchful, stand firm in the faith, act like men, be strong. Let all that you do be done in love.”
He is married to Melissa Etheridge and is a father.
