It is the purpose of this Church to carry out the command of Jesus Christ to make disciples, empower people to accomplish the will of God in their lives, equip people through God's word as part of our daily discipline to continue the work of the ministry, and be responsible for training others to do the work of God.
About God
We believe that there is only one true God. He is revealed to us as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, each with distinct personal attributes, but without division of nature. (Genesis 1; John 14; Ephesians 1)
We believe that the Scriptures clearly teach that Jesus was born of the virgin Mary, lived a sinless life, died on the cross and rose from the grave. His sacrifice on the cross is the only way for our sin to be forgiven and for us to have a relationship with God. (John 1:12-14; Romans 10:9-10)
The Holy Spirit is God who lives within the Christian upon belief in Christ. He empowers the Christian to live a godly life and comforts in times of sorrow. (John 14:16-17)
About You and I
God created man in his own likeness. (Genesis 1:16)
Man has sinned by our own choice, having fallen from God’s glory. This sin separates mankind from God and results in spiritual death. (Romans 3:23; Romans 5:12; Romans 6:23)
Jesus provided for our sin to be covered and forgiven by his death on the cross, burial and resurrection. (2 Corinthians 5:21)
It is only by grace and faith in Jesus that we are saved: no works can save us. People must individually place their faith in Jesus Christ to receive the gift of salvation. (Ephesians 2:8-9)
All who trust Jesus Christ for salvation are eternally secure in Him and will not experience ultimate spiritual death. (John 3:16)
About the Bible
God’s word is for teaching, correction, reproof and instruction in righteousness. (2 Timothy 3:15-16)
The Bible tells the story of God’s love for man, man’s disobedience, and God’s eternal redemption of man starting with the beginning of time until the end of time.
About the Church
Jesus established the church to be the vehicle for the gospel to spread throughout the world. (Matthew 28:19-20)
We believe that each Christian should be committed to and submitted to a local body of believers. (Hebrews 10:24-25)
There are two symbolic ordinances in the church: Baptism and the Lord’s Supper - Scriptural baptism is the immersion of repentant believers in water in the name of the Father, Son, Holy Spirit. The Lord’s Supper is the commemoration of the death of the Lord Jesus, preceded by solemn self-examination. (Matthew 28:19-20; 1 Corinthians 11:23-32)
About the Future
We believe that the Scriptures clearly teach that Jesus rose from the dead. He now exists in His glorified body at God’s right hand. (1 Corinthians 15; Luke 22:69; Hebrews 10:11-14)
There will be a resurrection of the righteous and the wicked. The bodies of the righteous will conform to the glorious spiritual body of Jesus Christ. (Matthew 28:1-10; 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18)
